Penguin Readers是英国培生教育集团出品的分级读物，是一套题材丰富的经典读物。不仅涵盖Original原创小说、Classic经典名著，还有Contemporary电影读本，三大题材系列。Penguin Readers 一共分为7个级别，从Easystarts到L6。Easystart就是大家常说的L0，Easystarts是用几本单词200个等级的词汇写成的总词数900个左右的丛书，L0适合初入小学的儿童使用。插图非常漂亮，而且颜色搭配很舒服。因为是可以做教材用的，所以有配上音频和练习题，而且里面的注释都不会很深奥，孩子们绝对可以自己去看和理解的。按里面的分类，主要是现代流行、经典名著和精彩原创三大类，题材就很广了，名人轶事、名著、电影、戏剧…各种都有，读起来不会很生硬无趣。
